To all faculty in the College of Engineering -- please note that nominations must be submitted by Monday, April 10 @ 6 pm. 

Attached is the general Announcement I forwarded on Monday, April 3 -- along with the Nominating Petition specific to the College of Engineering. In AY 2017/18, the College will hold 4 seats in the Senate; this election calls for faculty to choose one (1) member. Please read the Nominating Petition carefully ... and submit statements (by the deadline) to senate at mail.sdsu, with a copy to bober at mail.sdsu.edu.

Important notice about Senate elections: AY 2017/18

Each of the following units will soon participate in an election selecting one or more representatives to serve in the University Senate. 

*	Faculty/College of Arts and Letters
*	Faculty/Fowler College of Business
*	Faculty/College of Education
*	Faculty/College of Engineering
*	Faculty/College of Health and Human Services
*	Faculty/College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts
*	Faculty/College of Sciences

The attached Announcement provides a general overview of election procedures, including where to locate each unit's specific Nominating Petition, what information to include when nominating someone, and the submission deadline (Monday, April 10 @ 6 pm). 

The Nominating Petitions will post to the Senate website sometime Tuesday; for your convenience, they are attached to this message as well. Please refer to the document that references your College.
