Greetings College of Engineering Faculty and Staff,

IT staff members are in the process of creating the distribution of
software applications that will be available during the fall 2015
semester on Windows operating system stations in rooms E207, E218, E220,
E221, E300, E301, and PS231. The current (spring 2015) list of
installed applications is available via URL

   http://engineering.sdsu.edu/support/distribution.html

Please look over the list and let me know if you require a particular
application, or an updated version of a listed application, by Monday
August 10, 2015. After August 13, all of the stations will be
"re-imaged", or cloned, from a master station containing the list of
applications shown on the distribution page. Re-imaging a laboratory
during the semester while classes are in progress, to install a new
application, is both disruptive to classes that require use of the lab
and time-consuming for IT staff. Therefore, it is imperative that you
honor the deadline and let me know by August 10 if you require an
upgrade to an existing application, or a new application not shown on
the list. Once we install a new application on our master station, we
will ask you to test the application on the master station to verify
functionality. Testing days will be August 11 and 12.

Kind regards,
