Dear  Prof. Garoma,


Greetings from Georgia and late wishes for the new year!


Let me introduce myself, I am Natia Beriashvili, a PhD Student from the
Georgian Technical University. Also, I am the joint grant competition
winner of the *Shota Rustaveli National Foundation of Georgia *and* Juelich
Research Center*.  Under this opportunity, I am starting to work in the
Juelich research center on the 1st of March on my project, which is
about *Motion
Correction for the High Accuracy Quantitative Brain Imaging. (See link
below)*


Currently, I am working as a Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology
Department. You can find more about my scientific interests, research, and
work experience in my attached CV.



The reason for my email is that I would like to participate in the project
announced by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by San Diego
State University (SDSU), which supports doctoral research for young
Georgian scholars. The duration of the project is a Maximum of 3 months.
This is a great opportunity for the students like me to gain experience and
knowledge from such institutions as San Diego State University. As I know
one of your working topics is Biomedical Engineering*, *which seems quite
familiar to me and to my PhD topic. I am eager to gain new experiences in
my field of work and interest, and it would be a great opportunity to
somehow collaborate with you. Would be interesting for me to know more
about your and your group's working fields.


If you are interested to participate in the mentioned project and have time
to host a student for a short period, I will be very grateful and ready for
further communications.
