[Faculty] my.SDSU: Upcoming Faculty/Staff Changes

Hi Ollin,

Thanks so much for being our CoE Change Ambassador.  I'm sorry we weren't
able to fill the 2nd ambassador after Robert left.  I reviewed the slide
deck and here are my questions:

   - Will the MySDSU information be shared by the Dean? Like at the fall
   retreat?
   - Do I understand correctly, that the MySDSU login will be our SDSU SSO
   Login? i.e. our @sdsu login info?
   - When to F/S gain access to a) MySDSU and b) training materials/video?
   I tried to 'login' and to watch a training video, but was unsuccessful. Got
   error screen when clicked on training
   - On slide 6 with regard to students planning their schedules via the
   'shopping cart'; I'm very interested in learning more about this for me and
   our advising team (for all CoE Student Affairs)
      - I would like more detailed information on the 'Permission #s'; does
      this take the place of our current 'waitlist'? Does it work in
the same way
      or does this give 'power' back to faculty and thus resurrects the
      'crashing'...???
   - On slide 9, how would the screen or system work for those of us with
   dual roles as faculty and advisors? Is there yet another level for
   Assistant Dean's?
   - Since SIMSR is going away, do the Assistant Deans have access to
   information like the number of course repeats, course forgiveness, etc?
   This was available in SIMSR, will it be available in MySDSU and if so,
   where would we find it?

These are my questions for now.  I will bring this up at our weekly
Advising Meeting tomorrow, 7/19, and share more IF there's more.

College of Engineering Homeroom in CANVAS and can make appointments with me
by clicking bit.ly/TheresaGarcia and then login with your SDSU ID and
password, click on Blue Get Assistance Button and select an open date/time
from my calendar.
