[Faculty] Invitation to SDSU's 2nd Women in STEM Event - Oct 28 & Oct 29

Dear Faculty,
On behalf of the Colleges of Engineering and Sciences, the Office of
Graduate and Research Affairs, and the Society of Women Engineers, you are
cordially invited to SDSU's 2nd Women in STEM event on Oct 28th and 29th.
This two day event brings exceptional women scientists and engineers to
SDSU for two days of programming with undergraduate and graduate students
and faculty. The event also includes an engaging research seminar and
reception for SDSU and the community.
Our esteemed guest this year is Dr. Leah Jamieson. Dr. Jamieson is the
Ransburg Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at
Purdue University, where she also served as Dean of the College of
Engineering for 11 years. She was elected to the National Academy of
Engineering for innovations in integrating engineering education and
community service in 2005. In recognition for her achievements in
engineering education, she was also elected as a member and fellow in the
American Academy of Arts & Science and the American Society for Engineering
Education.

followed by an all student lunch at 1130am on Mon Oct 28th. The lunch will
be an open Q&A to share, listen and learn about careers in Engineering,

Undergraduate Students: You are encouraged and welcome to present a short
lightning talk on your research and attend an informal all-student lunch.
