Hi Everyone,
It was brought to my attention that a theft incidence occurred over the
weekend in the Engineering Building.
One of our graduate students had their cell phone and wallet stolen while
studying in one of the third floor labs. The student had left the door to
the lab propped open and two male suspects entered and stole the students'
wallet and cell phone that was sitting on a bookshelf behind the student.
Fortunately, the student was not hurt and has filed a formal theft report
with the SDSU Police.
As a safety precaution please be sure to keep all valuables out of sight
and locked in a drawer or filing cabinet. When leaving your office or
working in a lab that you can not see who is entering/exiting the room,
please leave the door closed and locked.
In an emergency or to report any suspicious activities, the SDSU Police can
be called from any campus phone or cell phone by dialing 9-1-1.As
well,emergency/duress
phones are positioned throughout the campus near buildings and in parking
lots and ring directly to the communications center.
To file a formal report with the SDSU Police Department please call:
619-594-1991.
Thank you,
Marcie Morihiro
