Just a reminder that nominations for the annual Senate Excellence in
Teaching Award for the 2016-17 academic year are due to the Engineering
Dean's Office by Friday, November 18, 2016.

The procedures and criteria for nomination, timeline and nomination form

All members of the University community are invited to submit nominations
for the annual Senate Excellence in Teaching Award for the 2016-17 academic
year.  One distinguished SDSU faculty member will be honored and receive
the title *Senate Distinguished Professor*.

The *Senate Distinguished Professor* is recognized for contributions made
to students, respective academic disciplines, and the campus communities.
The primary criterion of this award is recognition of teaching excellence.

All nominations for the 2016-17 award must be submitted to the Dean of the
faculty member's College by November 18, 2016.  Each College will forward
*one* nominee.

All College nominees will be honored at an awards ceremony, but *only one
individual* will receive the title *Senate Distinguished Professor* and
present a public lecture as part of the ceremony.  This individual will
also receive a cash award.
