Hi Everyone,

Please see e-mail below from the SDSU Facilities Planning, Design &
Construction Dept., regarding the timeline for the Roof Survey of the
Engineering Building. There should be no disruptions/access issues to the
labs, offices and classrooms, however there may be smells, dust and
construction related sounds.  They have conducted a hazardous materials
survey, and the roofing material has no hazardous materials present.

*Dear Marcie,*



Starting *Monday 1-Feb-2016* we will have a Roof Survey of the Engineering
building. Our contractor, Kitchell, will be drilling through the roofing
material to the concrete roof-deck to determine existing overall roof
slope, and then they will back-fill the survey drill-holes. As a result of
these activities, there may be smells, dust and sawing-related-sounds. We
conducted a hazardous materials survey, and the roofing material has no
hazardous materials present. The contractor estimates that the survey may
take up to a week to complete.



On *Tuesday 2-Feb-2016 *the Contractor and Faculties Services
representatives we will check mechanical, electrical and plumbing related
switches/gear on the roof that we may need to be shut down during roof
replacement project.



Roof Replacement is estimated to start 16-May-2016 and to be complete by
01-Aug-2016. I will share more project details after the Roof Survey which
will inform the total scope of work for the roof, and schedule.
