Subject: SDSU CurricUNET Review Cycles
Our team hopes you are having a pleasant and productive summer. This message
is a courtesy notice to inform all CurricUNET users of important information
as we begin concluding the current (2016-2017) curriculum review cycle and
head into the 2017-2018 cycle.
All proposals currently in the department- or college-level queues should be
reviewed and, if approved, advanced to university-level review no later than
September 30, 2015. Please note that all users can access current items in
their queue at any time. The September 30th deadline is necessary so
approvals can be completed in time for the 2016-2017 catalog production and
to ensure all proposals are reconciled. In order to mitigate curriculum
committee reviewers¹ confusion, the intent is to make sure this year's
proposals are not combined with next year's proposals. With the September
30th deadline met, CurricUNET will be available for new proposal submissions
beginning October 1, 2015 for the 2017-2018 General Catalog and Graduate
Bulletin.
In the meantime, an originator may still go into CurricUNET now and begin
drafting proposals for 2017-2018; however, the submit button will not appear
until October 1st. Meaning, one could begin to input their curricular or
programmatic changes for 2017-2018 and when the submission cycle opens
October 1st, simply hit submit to launch all completed proposals for review.
The deadlines for submitting 2017-2018 proposals in CurricUNET are listed
below. Prior to CurricUNET, deadlines were based on the date Curriculum
Services received the paper proposals (after college-level approvals were
obtained). The updated deadlines are when an originator may submit a
proposal in CurricUNET. Since some committee memberships conclude at the end
of the academic year, reviewers must be able to complete reviews prior to
the ending of their term.

Services, IVC, Undergraduate Studies
Our team is really grateful for everyone's patience as we continue to become
acclimated to this new system and processes. Based on feedback we received
from users, we made a number of enhancements and fixes to the CurricUNET
system over the summer.
With kind regards,
The CurricUNET Team --
