[Staff] ENGINEERING DESIGN SHOWCASE - MAY 3RD - ALUMNI CENTER

As you know, The College of Engineering Design Showcase will be tomorrow,
May 3rd in the Alumni Center. The schedule for the day is as follows:

 

2pm       Team Display Set Up

2:30pm                Open to the Public

4:30pm                People Choice Award Envelopes to be collected

5:00pm                Prize Award Announcement and Presentation

5:30pm                Close and Clean Up Display Areas

6pm                      Room to be Cleared

 

As a reminder, each team will be provided with an area by department which
will include:

 

·        A five foot table

·        Display Board or Wall Area for Project Posters & Other Graphical
Material

·        Push Pins and Tape to Mount Posters

·        Envelope to Collect People’s Choice Award Cards

 

Each Team will need to provide

 

Ø  A White Tablecloth for their Table

Ø  Project Poster and/or Graphics for Display

Ø  Plans, Drawings, Illustrations, Prototypes or Completed Projects to
Display on the Team Table

Ø  Team Members to Present and Discuss their Project

 

Peoples Choice Award Information

 

v  Design Showcase Guests will be given Cards for Voting identified by
Department

o   Aerospace – Blue, Civil – Green, Electrical – Red, Mechanical – Yellow,
Zahn – Orange

o    

v  Guests are to pick their favorite team from each Department, complete
back of card and put the Department Card in the Teams Envelope

 

v  Teams needs to  be sure that the back of card at least has a name and
email address

o   Cards without this information will not be counted

 

v  Cards/Votes will be collected at 4:30pm for tallying

 

v  Team from each Department with the most collected cards/votes will be
deemed the winner in each Department

 

 

v  Each winning team will receive a $100 gift card provided by the Zahn
Center
