[Staff] Zahn Center Executive Director

Rich Kerr has informed me that he will be leaving his position as Executive
Director of the Zahn Center to accept an outstanding opportunity with a new
venture company in the area of cyber security. His last day of work will be
September 14 (although I'm certain he will continue to remain engaged with
the Center). 

 

During the relatively short time that Rich has been with the College of
Engineering, he has done an outstanding job in launching the Zahn Center
initiative; creating a new facility, developing the legal framework for
incubating teams, mentoring the companies that are now part of the Zahn
Center, etc. His efforts are greatly appreciated.

 

Over the next few weeks, we will first be identifying an interim director
while concurrently recruiting for a new permanent director. Any suggestions
that you may have on suitable applicants for either the interim or permanent
position would be helpful. Please share your suggestions with me directly.

 

Again, let me congratulate Rich on his new appointment and thank him for all
the efforts he has made to launch our College's Zahn Center.
