Please join the IEEE chapter at SDSU for a free MATLAB and Simulink
seminar on Tuesday, September 13: "Designing an Object Tracking System
with MATLAB and Simulink at San Diego State University"

Presenter: Doug Eastman, Senior Application Engineer

Doug holds an M.S. from MIT and a B.S. from UC Berkeley, both
in Mechanical Engineering. He specializes in Control Systems
and did thesis work in Materials Science.

Day and Time: September 13th, 2011 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: Engineering Building room E423B

Video Processing and Physical Modeling

In this two part session we will use MATLAB and Simulink to acquire,
analyze, and visualize data in MATLAB and then design and model a system
using Simulink. Our example involves building, modeling and deploying a
system that rotates a webcam to track a green ball.

In this first session we will cover:
	Introduction to Simulink
	Using MATLAB code in Simulink
Designing and validating video processing algorithms
Simulating physical systems (electrical and mechanical) using Simscape
	Validating models using measured data

Please forward this invitation to any colleagues who may be interested
in this event.
