To College Staff,

Below is the email that Larry sent previously. I am helping Larry to
organize the volunteer staff for the event. Please let me know what you can
do to help next Saturday, March 20. To make it easier, I’ve divided the
tasks/times into blocks:

8:30 – 10:30 am (~5 volunteers needed) – set-up, initial greeting of
visitors, 1 person to staff table at Centennial Walkway

10:30 – 3:00 pm (~11 volunteers needed) – 1 person to staff table at
Centennial Walkway, others lead groups to lab tour by holding a sign and
bringing the group to a specific lab. Tours depart every ½ hour from a
central spot in front of the building. Clean-up from 2:30 – 3:00.

Lunch will be provided for volunteers in the conference room. Formal CTO (1
½ time) will be approved for all that help.

Thanks in advance!

Cindi

Subject: [Staff] EXPLORE SDSU 2010

On Saturday, March 20, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., San Diego State
University opens its doors to admitted and prospective students and
families, alumni, and community members. Explore SDSU Open House will
showcase the quality of teaching, research, student services, and community
opportunities on campus. Whether a student is admitted or considering
applying to SDSU in the future, they can't afford to miss Explore SDSU 2010!

As the College of Engineering, we are invited to showcase our outstanding
programs, facilities and innovative technologies. I am seeking your support
to help make this happen. This is the time we should “be dressed to
impress” by showcasing our students and faculty and putting on
demonstrations and information sessions to draw that top talent for each of
our engineering programs.

We have just a couple of weeks to decide what we’re going to do and put a
nice program together. You can have a role in a student/family deciding on
whether to attend SDSU. Please let your department chair and myself know of
your willingness to volunteer a little of your time for this most important
occasion.

I look forward to letting all who visit us know that this College of
Engineering is not only one of the best in the West but in the entire U. S.

Thanks for your support and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Don't just have a good day but MAKE a GREAT day,

                         -Larry-
