OBJECTIVES: The sponsor provides scholarship funds and education
support systems for engineering and science students of Hispanic
backgrounds to support the increase of the number of Hispanics into
the fields of engineering and science.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must: be Engineering, Math, Science or Technology
majors; have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher; be
enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for the Fall 2010
semester; and must be of Hispanic origin and/or must significantly
participate in and promote organizations and activities in the
Hispanic Community.
FUNDING
Each scholarship recipient will receive: a scholarship ranging from
$500 to $5,000; and complimentary registration and hotel
accommodations to the HENAAC 2010 Career Conference and Awards Show.
Qualifying students may also receive transportation support.
Scholarship will be awarded at the Annual HENAAC Conference in Lake
Buena Vista, FL on October 7-10, 2010. Winners MUST attend the
conference to receive the scholarship. (jap)
