Dear Faculty and Staff of the College of Engineering!

Aztecs Rock Hunger has officially begun for this year, and we are as
excited as ever! Aztecs Rock Hunger is an annual three-week initiative to
raise money to help support the Jacobs and Cushman Food Bank of San Diego
and help fight food insecurity in the San Diego area. All money raised goes
directly to the food bank and helps support the hundreds of thousands of
food insecure residents in San Diego. A portion even supports the Food
Pantry <https://as.sdsu.edu/foodinsecurity/foodpantry/> and Economic Crisis
Response Team <https://sacd.sdsu.edu/ecrt> (ECRT) at SDSU.

Last year, Engineering raised over 12,000 pounds of food, an *over 8000%
increase over the previous year.* It was an amazing feat, and one we hope
to replicate this year.

In addition to being the most Engineering has ever raised, we lit a fire
into all the other colleges to raise money as well, so competition is at an
all-time high. Health and Human Services hasraised the most money for the
past 9 years in a row. Engineering came within $300 last year. This year we
hope to be the first college to ever pass Health and Human Services in
fundraising. *To do that, we need the help from everyone in the college!*

There are multiple ways to help raise money, but the best way for most
would be through the SDSU Online Giving Portal.

Then, simply forward the receipt email to: *associatedstudents at sdsu.edu
<associatedstudents at sdsu.edu>* and write "Engineering" in the body of the
email.

Remember, this is all going to an amazing cause!
