*About EILC: *EILC connects leaders in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in
Colleges of Engineering across the nation to support, enhance, and advance
the innovation environment at research institutions. In February 2020, our
first NSF-funded workshop was held in Washington DC., with the goal of
aligning engineering colleges, research institutions, and national
resources to accelerate the development of the national innovation
ecosystem through a network of academic leaders in engineering innovation.
EILC has gained momentum since our first in-person workshop in February
2020. In the past two years, we’ve engaged over 300 faculty leaders from
across the country at institutions large and small in hybrid and online
workshops.
*EILC Purpose: *To connect engineering campus leaders of innovation and
entrepreneurship nationally in a community of practice to:
● Share best practices
● Discuss and inform one another on issues of emerging importance
● Help re-define the role of universities in the national innovation
ecosystem
● Advance the development of productive innovation/translation practices
● Gain a voice in shaping the national I&E ecosystem
