As you may already know, the SDSU HealthLINK Center for Transdisciplinary Health Disparities Research (SDSU HealthLINK Center; MPIs: Guadalupe X. (Suchi) Ayala and Kristen J. Wells) was established in 2018 with funding from NIMHD to enhance the infrastructure and capacity for minority health and health disparities (MHHD) research at SDSU and our organizational partners. To date, we have completed numerous Center goals, including creation of the clinical research center housing research facilities to meet a range of research needs; supporting two NIH R01-type research projects; supporting 16 early career investigators with pilot research funding, mentorship, and career development; engaging with numerous partner organizations in the San Diego Imperial County communities to address health disparities; developing research services across a range of expertise to support MHHD; and establishing a recharge system to begin the delivery of research services to additional projects. SDSU HealthLINK Center funding comes up for competitive renewal every five years, and we are currently working on our renewal application.  In order to do so, we need your help.  We are currently seeking the opinions of SDSU researchers regarding their needs for the research that they plan to conduct in the future.



To get your thoughts, we have developed a Qualtrics survey <https://sdsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8J4kDVUVZSy4fAO>  to assess research infrastructure, resource, and service needs to facilitate minority health and health disparities research conducted at SDSU and with our non-academic partner organizations. Your responses to this survey will help guide our plans for the renewal period to best support SDSU and partner researchers in conducting their research. If we are renewed, we will be working to make services many researchers need available to SDSU researchers using a recharge service model.

As you complete the survey, please consider research in minority health and health disparities that you will be conducting over the next five years, 2023-2028. The survey should take between 10-25 minutes to complete.  All people who complete this survey will be given the opportunity to enter into a random drawing for 14 prizes.  Prizes include SDSU HealthLINK Center Gift Bags, 2 San Diego Museum of Art Tickets, AirPods, and San Diego Zoo Tickets.
