[Faculty] Missy Stump to Leave Engineering/Accepts Advancement in Student Affairs & Campus Diversity

Dear College of Engineering,


It isn't even bittersweet, it's just plain terrible news for
URAD/Engineering that I share the following...



Missy Stump has accepted an exciting new opportunity and will be joining
the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity to be a Resource
Management Analyst in that area. She will be responsible for budget and
human resource oversight and compliance for the many departments within the
Division. Her last day with URAD will be Friday, September 3rd.



In my over 25 years of university advancement, I've worked with some great
colleagues.  Missy Stump is at the top of the list.  In January of 2019 she
came on board and within two weeks had almost entirely planned the
Mehrabadi Dedication in the EIS.  From there she expertly organized all the
engineering files, drives, resources, etc.  Using her computer and
technology skills she maximized I Modules and Marketco communication
efforts for engineering.  She built out the SDSU Engineering website to
include photos and bios of all endowed funds in the College, giving links
for all student organizations, and the "Where Are They Now" donor stories.
Her interaction and communication with donors, alumni, faculty, staff and
friends has advanced the College to new heights and set a professional
standard of excellence.  She was frequently requested to step into other
roles throughout URAD for leaves of absences, vacancies and special
projects; always exceeding expectations.  Her kind and compassionate nature
made her a delightful teammate and joy to work with campus wide.



I am simply thrilled for Missy to accept this new opportunity.  She is so
deserving of this advancement.  Missy has requested no going away
activities and I am respectful of that.



On behalf of URAD and Engineering, thank you Missy Stump!!!!!  Your
efforts  the  past 2 1/2 years will continue to advance the College (and
SDSU) for years to come.
