[Faculty] JDP Application Cycle Open Now Until Dec 15

Good evening COE Faculty,

As a reminder, the Engineering Joint Doctoral Program admission cycle for
fall 22 is now open and applications are being accepted until December
15th, 2021. Late applications/documents will not be accepted, so please
encourage any potential applicants or those currently in progress to submit
all documents/test scores well before the deadline so we may handle any
issues that arise.

For more information on documents/test scores needed, please review the JDP
webpage at: https://www.engineering.sdsu.edu/admissions/jointdocprogram.aspx

Please note that the GRE is required for all JDP applicants and cannot be
waived. Also, please be aware that only the TOEFL, IELTS, and PTE English
language exams are accepted. While SDSU Graduate Admissions also accepts
Duolingo, it is not accepted at UCSD and thus cannot be used for the JDP.

Once you agree to serve as adviser of an applicant, please send your
confirmation to me along with the name of your UCSD co-adviser who must be
T/TT faculty from the UCSD department the applicant intends to earn a
degree from (MAE, ECE, Bioengineering, or Structural).

costs, please review the attached presentation from the JDP faculty
orientation held last month.
