Dear Colleagues,
We are writing as a follow-up to yesterday's all-campus email from the
Provost which detailed plans for faculty repopulation and access to their
offices.
The university is providing limited campus access to faculty who would like
to access their office spaces to support academic functions. This early
repopulation is voluntary and for the initial phase, faculty will be
limited to 16 hours per week and for planning purposes, faculty must
provide information on their anticipated schedule.
Access is contingent on a number of factors including the following:
- One-time completion of this request form and approval by your college;
- Completion of a short online COVID-19 safety training. A link to the
training can be found here:

- Completion of the IT Checklist (if bringing a university-issued
computer back to campus). A link to the checklist can be found here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zcm-TRzdLIW3b12fV6f6oBLTaSzpVwbS/view?usp=sharing
- Compliance with current campus COVID-19 health and safety protocols
regardless of vaccination status. Campus protocols include the following
requirements: pre-arrival self-screen symptom and temperature check, use of
facial masks, physical distancing, and no unnecessary gatherings.
Although faculty will be limited to 16 hours per week, we anticipate that
increased access will be available in the summer as state and local public
health directives change. The university will provide further
communication to faculty when increased access is available.
For the safety of both yourself and our campus community, SDSU strongly
encourages faculty choosing to return as part of this early repopulation
program to be fully vaccinated prior to repopulation. Faculty can make
appointments for vaccinations by visiting the County's Vaccination
Information Webpage by visiting
https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/sdc/hhsa/programs/phs/community_epidemiology/dc/2019-nCoV/vaccines.html
.
Facilities and administrative support will be limited during this early
repopulation phase. For example, restroom access may be limited to specific
bathrooms within a building and, with few exceptions, there will be no
on-site administrative support. Parking permits are required and you can
visit Parking Services at https://bfa.sdsu.edu/campus/parkingtrans for
additional information regarding parking options, including options for
hourly and daily permits.
