Subject: [aero_div] The 2021 ASEE Annual Conference will be a fully virtual
experience!
To: aero_div at asee.org <aero_div at asee.org>
Dear Aerospace Division,
ASEE was recently notified that the Long Beach Convention Center, site of
our planned 2021 Annual Conference and Exposition, will be used as a
temporary shelter for migrant children who have crossed into the United
States. As a result, the Long Beach Convention Center will not be available
to host the 2021 ASEE Annual Conference, and the conference will move to a
fully virtual format.
- The details of the virtual format, registration fees, and other issues
will be confirmed in the coming weeks; the conference dates will remain
July 26-29. Paper deadlines remain unaffected.
- Reminder that all ASEE papers are publish to present. If you are
unable to attend the conference, your paper can still be published.
ACTION ITEM - TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:
- If you have made a hotel arrangement in the ASEE Block through the
housing bureau, your reservation will be cancelled automatically.
- If you made a hotel reservation OUTSIDE the ASEE block, you must
cancel that hotel reservation directly. ASEE will not be able to cancel it
for you.
We look forward to creating a robust, exciting, and effective virtual
experience for you, as we did in 2020.
Best wishes.
