Dear CoE Faculty and Staff,

On behalf of the CoE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council (DEI), we are
sharing the attached (and copied in this email) working draft of a
diversity plan. The members of the DEI representing all CoE faculty, staff
and students have developed this first draft of the Diversity Statement
that President DeLaTorre has requested from every college and unit as
described in a Senate Resolution.

As this statement will become the College of Engineering's Diversity
Statement moving forward, we want your input. Please take time to review
and provide your feedback to the committee. Your thoughts, concerns and
suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please send to the CoE DEI Chair, Dr.
Sweta Sarka at msarkar2 at sdsu.edu by noon on Thursday 10/24. The CoE DEI
members will finalize this diversity statement at a campus wide Institute
led by the Division of Diversity and Innovation at the end of this week.
