Dear Arlene,

 

Could you please share the below announcement with COE faculty for a summer internship program through my Safe-D Center.

 

"Attached please find the application for undergraduate research summer internships sponsored by the Safe-D University Transportation Center. Applications are due Feb 28. We have projects in a variety of topics including human factors, automated vehicles, and big data analytics.

 

Program Dates: May 29 - August 3, 2018
Location: Texas A&M Transportation Institute, College Station, Texas

 

Funding
The 10-week internship provides compensation of $6,000, housing near campus for the duration of the program, and a generous food allowance. (Note: compensation, fellowship, and food allowance are considered taxable income. Students not requiring provided housing will receive payment equivalent to housing allowance)

 

Application Deadline: Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 5:00 pm CST

 

Applicant Eligibility

1) Must have an interest in transportation safety and a desire to actively participate in ongoing research projects.

2) Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

3) Must have completed junior year (at least 90 hours) by the end of Spring 2018.

4) Must be on track to graduate no sooner than December 2018."
