There is an interesting opportunity for our faculty who are interested in
cancer disparities in underserved communities including providing
educational opportunities for under-represented students in cancer
research.  One additional point of interest to some of our faculty will be
the announcement of the 2018-19 funding opportunities with the Partnership
that spans basic cancer biology to community-based cancer prevention
programs.  An agenda is included in the email link.  The deadline for
registering is approaching fairly rapidly.

2018 SDSU/UCSD Partnership Retreat.



Our 2018 Partnership Retreat aims to foster and strengthen research
collaborations between San Diego State University, UC San Diego, and our
community partners including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in
San Diego and Imperial Counties. Opportunities for developing scientific
collaborations across academic institutions and community organizations
will be offered. *Funding for pilot studies will be available for 2018 and
announced at the retreat.*
