*REMINDER ... REMINDER ... REMINDER ... REMINDER ... REMINDER*

All members of the University community are invited to submit nominations
for the annual *Senate Excellence in Teaching Award* for the 2017-18
academic year.  One distinguished SDSU faculty member will be honored and
receive the title *S**enate Distinguished Professor*. *Qualified nominees
may be tenured, tenure-track (probationary), or FERP. *

The *Senate Distinguished Professor *is recognized for contributions made
to students, respective academic disciplines, and the campus communities.
The primary criterion of this award is teaching excellence.

*The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, November 21.* Each nominee
choosing to move forward must submit his/her materials to his/her College
Dean by December 20, 2017; each College will forward *one* nominee.

All College nominees will be honored at an awards ceremony, but *only one
individual* will receive the title *Senate Distinguished Professor *and
present a public lecture as part of the ceremony.  This individual will
also receive a cash award.
