*ABSTRACT:* The staggered Castillo-Grone mimetic method (CGMM) gradient
operators are adapted for solving the nonlinear Eikonal equation with Soner
boundary conditions. The iterative method utilizes an initial guess, for
instance the solution obtained by applying the first-order
Sethian's Fast Marching method. It linearizes the equation for the residual
and reduces the absolute error (infinity norm) of the solution by gradually
increasing the accuracy order of the modified
CGMM. See the attached picture. This is a joint work with Jorge Ospino
(Universidad
del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia).
