Hi Everyone,

Facilities Services (FS) came by earlier this afternoon and there is an
issue with a large section of the main water pipe that runs under the 4th
floor and will need to be replaced. Due to the large scale repair, they
will not be able to start until Spring Break.

FS tried multiple times to replicate the leak, turning on all of the
faucets in each of the labs on the 4th floor, sinks in the bathrooms, etc,
but no leak occurred on the 3rd floor.

As a safety precaution, FS is going to keep the 4th floor bathrooms closed
until the work on the pipe is complete. They have said it is okay to
utilize the sinks in E-420 & E-422.

For Explore SDSU, our guests will need to utilize the restrooms on the 1st,
2nd and 3rd floors.

The water "net"and tubing currently suspended from the 3rd floor ceiling
will be removed later this evening before our guests arrive for Explore
SDSU.

I will continue to keep you posted on the start date of the pipe repair.

If you notice any leaks, please let me know immediately. For after hours,
please call Facilities Services: 619-594-4754, hit '0' for the Operator
and they will make an emergency call to a member of the Facilities Services
Department.

Thank you!
