[Faculty] The college policy file did not pass

Esteemed members of College  Faculty,



I would like to thank you for your cooperation in reviewing the policy file and
casting your vote. Today is  a critical deadline since faculty applying for
tenure and promotion needs to include a copy of the current policy file to
their PDS.   As I have iterated in many emails I send earlier, our current
bylaws are in conflict with the university bylaws and this is not
acceptable.  The change  to the bylaws are necessary  comply with
University bylaws.



To date  29  faculty members voted YES and one faculty member voted NO to
the changes.   We have 57 faculty and need 2/3 of the faculty votes to be
able to change the bylaws.



I regret to inform you that  the bylaw changes  will  not pass  by the
deadline  of September 24th unless we receive another 9  votes  today. As
result of this  our colleagues applying for tenure and promotion will not
be able to complete their PDS on time.
