[Faculty] Tue 8/19 - College of Engineering Retreat - 10:30am-1:00pm

Hi Monte,

Many of us enjoyed the annual get together at the Berkley Floating
restaurant at the start of each Fall. Given the high number of new faculty
we have hired, this social gathering could be more significant this year.
The magnificent view of the Bay alone lifts the spirit (well, some wine
also helps) for mixing among faculty and staff. The boxed lunch is no
substitute for that.

I hope you will at least try to poll the faculty if there is a sufficient
interest to continue this tradition. If money is the only problem, perhaps,
we can pitch in.
