[Faculty] Techsmith products (Camtasia Studio, Camtasia, Snag It)

Engineering Faculty, 

Many of you are using  screen capturing tools  Camtasia Relay for recording your lectures for to be used as  online lectures or  to be used as supplementary materials.  I would like to inform you that ITS obtained a site license for  all Techsmith products.   The products Camtasia Studio and Camtasia for MAC can be obtained from ITS through college of Engineering IT  contacts. 
Below is  the information how Techsmith products can be obtained. 

Techsmith Software Distribution

The Techsmith suite of software (Camtasia Studio, Camtasia for Mac, and Snagit) will be provided to faculty staff using the two following distribution channels in a two-phase approach. All support and training will be handled through ITS, while distribution will be run through ETS.

1. Departmental IT Contacts
     - Distribution will primarily be handled through the user's departmental IT contact during the first phase. 
     - IT contacts will coordinate the installations for each user and install on any/all applicable machines
     - IT contact will communicate with ETS to receive download links and registration keys
     - ETS will fill out a service request and send back installation links and keys
     - IT contact will then document how many times installed and who requested it to keep track of usage

2. Direct Distribution from ETS
     - During the second phase of rollout, faculty/staff can request Techsmith software directly from ETS
     - Used as a fall-back option, for departments without a IT contact, or for other corner cases
     - Faculty/Staff will contact ETS directly asking for software
     - ETS will fill out a service request and send back installation links and keys
     - Faculty/staff will install the machine on his/her own compute
