[Faculty] No air flow - should not we close down the building?

Hi Sooby:
I too commiserate with you over the inopportune
timing of the remodeling effort. I teach in E423
at 10 AM and in E423B at noon on MWF. About 35%
of these lectures are seriously compromised by
the loud drilling, pounding, and truck sounds
noise associated with this activity. With all
this noise, my voice is hoarse at the end of the
lectures, and my students have difficulty
concentrating and hearing me. Such noise
interference coupled with the required furlough
days will mean that our students will be heavily
short-changed this semester (despite our best efforts).
Sadly yours, Andy
