Installing OPNET Modeler 17.5 PL5 on College of Engineering Windows workstations. Download the following three files:

Launch the Modeler executable.

To ensure that the MSVS 2008 is installed correctly, open a Command Prompt and type cl to invoke the compiler. Then type link to invoke the linker/binder. Confirm that each of these commands returns the correct information for the .NET installation:

Launch the Modeler executable:

Click Next to continue:

Click Next to continue:

Click Next to continue:

Click Next to continue. Enter volta.sdsu.edu as the license server:

Click Next to continue.

Click Next to continue.

Click Install to continue.

Wait the the installation to finish.

Click Done to complete the Modeler installation and then launch the Model Library installer:

Click Next to continue.

Click Next to continue.

Click Install to continue.

Wait the the installation to finish.

Click Done to complete the Model Library installation and then launch the Modeler Documentation installer:

Click Next to continue.

Click Next to continue.

Click Install to continue.

Wait the the installation to finish.

Click Done to complete the Modeler Documentation installation and then launch the OPNET Modeler from the Programs list.

Click Allow access to continue.

Select the Wireless module and then click OK to continue.

Click I Accept to continue.

The OPNET Modeler splash screen should appear, and you can now begin your project:
