Installing ANSYS HFSS and the Antenna Design Kit on College of Engineering Systems

Download and install HFSS / ANSYS Electronics Desktop distribution:

• Version 15.0 [Windows x64 ZIP] (813.16 MB)
• Version 16.2 [Windows x64 ZIP] (2.47 GB)
• Version 17.2 [Windows x64 ZIP] (2.47 GB)
• Version 19.2 [Windows x64 ZIP] (4.45 GB) ANSYS Electronics Desktop

Antenna Design Kit:

• Version 2.2015.1 for HFSS R16.0 and R16.1 [download]

  This version will launch the design kit and once the antenna is designed, you can launch HFSS directly from the interface. This version only works with HFSS 16.0 and 16.1.

• Version 1.2015.1 for HFSS R15.0 [download]

  Python kit works with any version. This verstion is accessible directly from HFSS once installed and can be launched from HFSS directly.

During the installation, click the I want to specify a license server radio button, when prompted:

Enter WIN-R3LE0A2JBTI.sdsu.edu as the license server and port 27001 for the TCP port number, then click Next:

Just click Next when asked about dongle driver installation:

Click OK when asked to verify that the latest version of the FLEXlm for Ansoft license service is installed on the license server WIN-R3LE0A2JBTI.sdsu.edu (the latest version is installed):

After installation, launch the application and invoke Help->About ANSYS HFSS, then click on the Active Servers entry in the Item Name column and verify the value is WIN-R3LE0A2JBTI.sdsu.edu:
