<p><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva;font-size:15px;color:#000000">Dear SDSU Colleagues, <br><br> All members of the university community are invited to submit nominations for the annual Senate Excellence in Teaching Award for the 2020-21 academic year. The submission deadline is Thursday, Feb. 25, and additional details are below. <br><br> One distinguished SDSU faculty member will be honored and receive the title Senate Distinguished Professor. <strong>Qualified nominees may be tenured, tenure-track (probationary), or FERP.</strong><br><br> The Senate Distinguished Professor is recognized for contributions made to students, respective academic disciplines, and the campus communities. <strong>The primary criterion of this award is teaching excellence.</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family:verdana,geneva;font-size:15px;color:#000000">Each nominee choosing to move forward <strong>must submit his/her/their materials to their college dean by Thursday, Feb. 25.</strong><br><br></li>
<li style="font-family:verdana,geneva;font-size:15px;color:#000000">Each college will forward <strong>one</strong> nominee to the Senate by emailing <a href="mailto:senate@sdsu.edu" id="m_-5629548804669799960m_7969217163851146939" style="color:#a6192e" target="_blank">senate@sdsu.edu</a>, and the Chair of the Faculty Honors and Awards Committee by emailing <a href="mailto:manderson@sdsu.edu" id="m_-5629548804669799960m_7969217163851146939" style="color:#a6192e" target="_blank">manderson@sdsu.edu</a> by <strong>Wednesday, March 10</strong>.<br><br></li>

<li style="font-family:verdana,geneva;font-size:15px;color:#000000">A nominating letter from the dean’s office (2 page limit)<br><br></li>
<li style="font-family:verdana,geneva;font-size:15px;color:#000000">A candidate dossier with examples of their achievements (5 page limit)<br><br></li>
<li style="font-family:verdana,geneva;font-size:15px;color:#000000">Up to three letters of support (2 page limit each)<br><br></li>
