This event is to help prepare the Lincoln High student teams for its regional competition sponsored by the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE). This year, Joe Wiseman, the Vice Principal at Lincoln High’s Center for Science and Engineering, has invited SDSU college students (undergrad and graduate levels) and professors to form a 4-player team and compete in this challenge. The competition format is a fast-paced question-and-answer quiz game similar to Jeopardy. It is important to keep in mind the following question categories when forming teams: astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth science, general science, mathematics, and physics. In addition, up to 20% of all questions asked will be about African-American scientists, engineers, inventors and their work.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'>There is a Team Sign-Up Form that needs to be turned in to Joe (email or fax) by February 10, 2011.
