Eric Frost and I would like to personally invite you and your staff to tour <br>
the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID 09), at SDSU's <br>
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Visualization</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> and the Regional Technology
Clearinghouse, June 17-25. <br>
Interoperability trials will test technologies that could aid in area <br>
emergency response efforts, including domestic and international <br>
Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief. It includes software and <br>
collaboration tools that have risen to significant notice within the <br>
military and its efforts to collaborate with first responders, NGOs, and <br>
other countries. Some of these tools may prove useful for <st1:City
w:st="on">San Diego</st1:City> efforts <br>
with fires, earthquakes, floods, H1N1, and outreach to <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region
w:st="on">Mexico</st1:country-region></st1:place> and many other <br>
parts of the world. We would love to facilitate you building partnerships
<br>
with the participants and companies involved. Some of these tools could <br>
also be of assistance to many groups besides the military and might assist <br>
with some of the University’s grant-writing efforts and capabilities to <br>
assist our community and international colleagues and partnerships.<br>

Standard one-hour tours are available June 17-25 only, 0700 through 0930 <br>
daily. Visitors must register in advance via the CWID web site. <br>

deeply involved in <br>
domestic and international efforts for Humanitarian Assistance Disaster <br>
Relief and all-hazards Homeland Security. During this exercise the center

will be configured as an <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Emergency</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Operations</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType>
for the City of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">San <br>
Diego</st1:City></st1:place>, bringing in information from many sources,
doing data fusion and <br>
visualization, and providing decision support for community leaders as <br>
during times of crisis. <br>
