Dear Faculty & Staff,

To improve security and device management, San Diego State University has
implemented a cloud-based system for Windows and MAC operating systems.
This new cloud-based system will allow for greater control of the devices
including hard drive encryption to prevent files from being accessed when
lost/stolen, automatic software deployment, greater visibility through the
Microsoft Cloud, and remote wipe ability in case of the device being
lost/stolen. If you have any University-owned devices, either state and/or
auxiliary, that have not enrolled in the cloud-based endpoint security,
either on or off campus, please submit a ServiceNow ticket (
servicenow.sdsu.edu) so that the College IT Team can enroll the device into
the new cloud-based system. For more information please see ENDPOINT
MANAGEMENT PROJECT link <https://it.sdsu.edu/activities/it-security>

Please reach out to the College IT Team by email or through ServiceNow to
schedule a Zoom session to address any questions or concerns you may have
and to also schedule a time for you to bring in your device(s) for updating.

Please disregard the message if you have already responded to the College
IT Team.
