Hi all,
While on sabbatical for the school year, I am staying at the top of Palomar
Mountain where I own 36 acres of old growth forest. A few days ago I saw
two bald eagles on my land and managed to get a picture of one of them in
flight. This is now the leading story of the local news up here on the
mountain since it is rare to see bald eagles in San Diego County (see the
link to the story below, as well as the original picture that I took, which
is attached). Also, just less than two weeks ago, my neighbor's security
camera caught a video of a mountain lion, which I have also attached. I
thought some of you would enjoy seeing these wonderful things in the wild.
Take care,
Rob Dowell (Structural Engineering Faculty, Civil Engineering)
