As Chair of the Engineering Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and
Research Search Committee, I would like to invite and encourage you all to
attend the Open Forum presentation by our finalist in this search. The
presentation details are as follows (also flyer is attached)


 * A Resource-Savvy Integrated System for the Water-Energy-Food Nexus Algae
as a Model Feedstock *

*Professor of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering San Diego

*February 25, 2020 at 10:45 am – 12:00 pm *

*Bioscience Gold Auditorium*

As you may know, this was an internal search and we have one finalist for
the position, *Dr. Temesgen Garoma*. Please see the attached flyer for
details regarding the presentation. In addition, the CV for the candidate
is attached.

Your attendance at the presentation is critically important as you will
have an opportunity to provide feedback via a survey that will be sent out
following the candidate’s presentation.

The seminar will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute
Q&A session, allowing ample opportunity for Faculty, Staff, and Students to
interact with the candidate and ask relevant questions.

I expect strong Open Forum participation from as many of you as possible.
