Subject: 2018-19 Senate Excellence in Teaching Award


All members of the University community are invited to submit nominations for the annual Senate Excellence in Teaching Award for the 2018-19 academic year. One distinguished SDSU faculty member will be honored and receive the title Senate Distinguished Professor. Qualified nominees may be tenured, tenure-track (probationary), or FERP.

The Senate Distinguished Professor is recognized for contributions made to students, respective academic disciplines, and the campus communities. The primary criterion of this award is teaching excellence.

*	The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, December 11.
*	Each nominee choosing to move forward must submit his/her materials to his/her College Dean by Monday, January 28; each College will forward one nominee.

All College nominees will be honored at an awards ceremony, but only one individual will receive the title Senate Distinguished Professor and present a public lecture as part of the ceremony. This individual will also receive a cash award.
