Subject: Forced Door Alarms
Good afternoon,
Each card access reader comes with a forced door alarm feature. When
someone enters through the door and without a valid swipe, an alarm is sent
to our dispatchers.
I have left these alarms disabled with the move in, but would like to
activate next Monday, February 19th.
Most false forced door alarms are caused by doors that are propped open.
Before we enable these alarms for EIS, could you please inform your staff
that doors are not to be propped open? I want to try and mitigate false
alarms as much as possible.
If the faculty would like students to come and go, please have them request
a schedule for the door or assign the students swipe access.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
