Hello All,



I am pleased to announce that we have a new student engineering society at
SDSU this year! We have just achieved official recognition as a student
chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), an effort funded by a
President’s Leadership Award I received last year. We have invited an
amazing person for our inaugural seminar this year and I was hoping you
would be willing to advertise this event through the Dean’s office to
students, faculty and any others that are interested. Our speaker is Dr.
Shu Chien from UCSD, a leader in cardiovascular bioengineering and one of
the few individuals in the world with membership in all three national
academies.



Attached is a flyer for the seminar, which will be held at the Biosciences
Center at 11am on Friday, 12/4 and followed by a lunch reception.
