[Staff] Notice of weekend power outage

Greetings College of Engineering Faculty and Staff,

Electrical power within the College of Engineering main building will be
shutdown at 10:00PM Friday, February 6, and restored on Sunday, February
8, at 12:00PM.  The weekend power outage is necessary so electricians
can safely install electrical panels in the Aerospace Engineering
laboratory area that is presently being renovated.  Because short
duration electrical transients, which can damage computer hardware, can
occur during infrastructure installation and power restoration, I
recommend you shutdown and physically disconnect your computer, and any
other sensitive electronic equipment, from the outlet before you leave
work on Friday.  Please forward this message to your graduate students
who plan on working in the building this weekend.
