Subject: Stem Cell Awareness Day - October 5, 2011, 10 am, BioScience Center
Good Afternoon,
I am sending this email to invite you and your staff to attend Stem Cell
Awareness Day on October 5, 2011. I would ask that you pass this
information on to your faculty and staff. I have attached a flyer about
the event that you can send out, with a few of the details of the day.
Stem Cell Awareness Day has been developed by the California Institute for
Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) to provide information to the public, via the
California educational community. Many California University and College
campuses will be hosting events to inform the public about recent
discoveries and studies in the field of stem cell research and therapeutics.
At SDSU the SDSU/CIRM Bridges to Stem Cell Internship Program will host a
panel discussion focusing on the therapeutic potential of stem cells,
including their use in drug discovery, spinal cord injury and neurological
disorders. See how CIRM funding is helping our SDSU students and come hear
and speak to experts in the field.
The event will take place on October 5, 2011 from 10 am - 12 noon in the
BioScience Center at SDSU.
I look forward to seeing you there,
Susan
