[Staff] Staffing Change in the Deans Office

Dear Colleagues:

 

It's with mixed emotions that I share with you information regarding a
staffing change in the Dean's office. My assistant, Cindi McClain, has been
offered and accepted a new position on campus as the Associate Director,
Operations in the Student Disability Services Office effective August 9th.
Cindi's final day in Engineering will be August 5. This is an exceptional
opportunity for Cindi. It is a position where she will be able to use both
her University experience and social services and business background to
make a real impact in the Student Disability Services Office.

 

A search for Cindi's replacement will begin immediately. In the interim, I
have asked my former assistant, Diane David, to return to the College and
assist until a new Dean's Assistant is recruited. Diane has agreed to do so
and she will begin her position on August 24th.

 

I think that you will agree with me that Cindi has been an outstanding
contributor during her years in the College of Engineering. I thank her for
her tireless efforts and professionalism. She will be missed. When you have
a moment, please stop by the office and congratulate Cindi and wish her
well. I certainly wish only the best for her.
