Chris,

I don't believe there would be any issues placing the 40GE NI Module in Slot 5 but I'll defer to Brian Witt?

Thanks John. I sent revision A to everyone, but Kent and his staff need to add their comments and send you an updated revision B. Quick
question: I have the three 10GE NI modules in slots 1,2,3 of the OS10K.
Is it OK if I place the 40GE NI module in slot 5?
Thanks,
Chris

We need to ensure water doesn't leak onto the OS6900 through the fiber conduit in the event of a rainstorm (Eric mentioned this issue). We also need to connect SMF to the SFP-10G-LR ports 1 and 2 in the NI slot 1 module (see Figure 2) that connect back to X2-LR GBICS in Te1/2 and Te1/3 of the CENIC C4900M switch sd-csu-sw-3 in Admin 12.
