OBJECTIVES: The purpose of these awards is to assist<br>
undergraduate members with their further education in the field of<br>
civil engineering. <br><br>
ELIGIBILITY<br>
Any currently enrolled freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior
who<br>
will be registered as an undergraduate in an ABET accredited program<br>
in civil engineering or related field in fall 2011. Applicants must
be<br>
a member of his/her local ASCE Student Chapter and a student member
of<br>
the Society in good standing at the time of application and award.<br>
Membership applications may be submitted with scholarship
application.<br>
No more than one application may be submitted from the membership of<br>
any one Student Chapter. The scholarships may be awarded only to
those<br>
students who will employ them to continue their formal undergraduate<br>
education. Previous recipients of these scholarships are eligible to<br>
apply in any succeeding competition for these awards provided the<br>
other requirements of eligibility are satisfied. Selection is based
on<br>
the applicant’s justification of award, educational plan, academic<br>
performance and standing, potential for development, leadership<br>
capacity, ASCE activities, and financial need. <br><br>
FUNDING<br>
