OBJECTIVES: This scholarship was named to honor a
dedicated<br>
water chemist and researcher who made numerous scientific<br>
contributions in diverse areas, including but not limited to
corrosion<br>
control, treatment and distribution of domestic and industrial water<br>
supplies, aquatic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and environmental<br>
chemistry. This scholarship provides support and encouragement to<br>
outstanding graduate students preparing for careers in the fields of<br>
science or engineering. <br><br>
ELIGIBILITY<br>
Eligible to apply are students pursuing a graduate degree at
an<br>
institution of higher education located in Canada, Guam, Puerto
Rico,<br>
Mexico or the United States. Applicants should anticipate completion<br>
of their degree requirements no sooner than December 1, 2011.<br>
Applicants are considered without regard to color, gender, race,
creed<br>
or country of origin. <br><br>
FUNDING<br>
The sponsor will provide one-time funding for two
scholarships:<br>
$5,000 for a master’s student and $7,000 for a doctoral student.<br>
