OBJECTIVES: Support is provided for civil engineering graduate<br>
study leading to the graduate degree at an accredited educational<br>
institution. Civil engineering is the design and maintenance of
public<br>
works such as roads, bridges, water and energy systems as well as<br>
public facilities like ports, railways and airports. <br><br>
ELIGIBILITY<br>
Applicants must be a member of the Society (in any grade) and
in<br>
good standing at the time of application and award. Scholarship
funds<br>
are for civil engineering graduate study leading to a Masters degree<br>
at an accredited educational institution. Previous recipients of
these<br>
scholarships are eligible to apply in any succeeding competition for<br>
these awards provided the other requirements of eligibility are<br>
satisfied. Selection is based on the applicant’s justification of<br>
award, educational plan, academic performance and standing,
potential<br>
for development, leadership capacity, ASCE activities and financial<br>
need.. <br><br>
FUNDING<br>
Scholarships will be awarded based upon funds available and may
be<br>
awarded to one or more recipients. Past awards have been in the
range<br>
of $2,000. Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and will
be<br>
