OBJECTIVES: <br>
 Eligible disciplines are: life, health, and medical sciences;<br>
mathematics; physical sciences; earth, environmental, and marine<br>
sciences; social and behavioral sciences; and engineering.
Facilities<br>
include: Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH; Brooks Air Force Base,<br>
Texas; Mesa, AZ; Tyndall Air Force Base, FL; Haven, CT and other<br>
approved locations. <br><br>
ELIGIBILITY<br>
 Eligible applicants are undergraduate and graduate students;<br>
postgraduates who have completed degree within the last three years;<br>
faculty members; and retired scientists. Applicants must be U.S.<br>
citizens or legal permanent residents. <br><br>
FUNDING<br>
 The award provides a stipend based on regular salary. 
Limited<br>
travel reimbursement (round trip transportation expenses between<br>
facility and home or campus) are also provided. Appointments made up<br>
to one year, full-time or part-time; renewable up to a total of
three<br>
years full-time participation for postgraduates; renewable up to a<br>
total of five years full-time participation for postdoctorates.<br>
